Coral North is a conventional gas development located in ultra-deepwater in Mozambique and is operated by Mozambique Rovuma Venture. In collaboration with its client, Hatraco designed, produced and supplied 3x Hydraulic start systems which is destined for a FPSO in the Coral gas field in Mozambique.
The start systems are going to be used as the secondary startsystem for a fire water pump application. As per NFPA-20 requirements for a secondary start system, the start system provides the minimum of 6 times of 15 seconds of start duration. By means of pre-set pressure values, the hydraulic start system is automatically recharged by means of an electric motor driven recharge pump. The recharging cycle is managed by a pressure transmitter in combination with a PLC based control panel. All of Hatraco's hydraulic start systems are equipped with a manual operated hydraulic pump as well. This enables our clients even to re-charge the system in a black out situation.
