Fire Water Pump start system

Hatraco was awarded the propject to design, built and deliver a hydraulic start system as a secondary start system for a Fire Water Pump deployed at Petronas Chemicals MTBE. This start system, with a capacity of 6 x 38 liter accumulators offers sufficient capacity to meet the minimum start duration requirement of 6 x 15 seconds as per NFPA-20 to start a Cat 18 diesel engine driven fire water pump in case the eletcric startsystems fails to do so.

Sensed by a pressure switch and a control panel for stand a lone operation, the start system is automatically recharged by means of a electric motor recharge pump. All of Hatraco's hydraulic startsystems are equipped with a manual operated hydraulic pump as well. This enables our clients even to re-charge the system in a black out situation.
